On Carnival Cruises (were on the Vista this July), I have two questions regarding the Hold Em games in the casinos. 1. 2. For the tournaments, whats the buy in, and is there a re-buy? TIA. The Triumph had an electronic poker table that was always empty. β€”, The Independent Traveler, Inc.

Mardi Gras – Carnival Mega Cruise Ship Preview (2020)

A guy to my right loses to a river straight after going All in with aces post flop. It was mostly old farts and money got pushed around until it quickly ended up with the house. My only take away was seeing everyone's balance going down. But the rake is so goddamn unbearable. I never felt so sorry for a guy in my life. This includes sharing stream links to paid content, and sharing the download of books, software, or electronic content. The games are full of absolutely terrible ridiculously awful players. Rake without flop. On the last night everyone went all in on everything. People prefer slots and other games much more. I played twice- first afternoon there were only 4 of us and rake essentially bled everyone out. Now on t the newer, bigger ships, they put the poker table right next to the casino bar and it's terrible. Additionally, please avoid posting adult content. Ryan Fee. As I mentioned I came from flat low elevation Central Florida so that drive really blows me away every time. The rake IS insane but its extremely inviting to drunk people who have played poker a few times before. The tournament offered was a winner-take-all sit-n-go which needed 6 players to start. From what I saw most of the games played were cash with occasional tourneys. It was like called and wanted to play online poker. Not Magic thought, some other ships has sports bar right next to casino and I worked in it, poker table was right outside of the bar. Just a post for posterity, since I looked for a definitive answer to this question by searching this forum before, and found nothing. I made out like a bandit on a Celebrity Cruise. I worked there for 7 months. Is it the same "deal" with them? Alex "Kanu7" Millar. I was on a different Carnival ship over Xmas last year, same deal. Turn is a brick, River is a jack, he loses his money again and goes to sleep. Rake is high indeed but the people playing there were fucking terrible. Honestly don't even remember the rake. If you're catching this cruise out of Port Canaveral FL you should drive about minutes south and check out Club 52 in Melbourne. Holy hell, that was a juicy table. What you're saying makes sense. I never played it myself, mostly paid the bills with cash and weekend mtt's. Lots of limping and calling preflop, very passive post flop. Goes all in post flop on a 3 4 7 rainbow board and he gets called by Jack 7 of diamonds. I think I was the only person at the table capable of clicking the "Raise" or "Fold" buttons. I have stopped playing poker because of this. The cash game was sooooo juicy, though, even with the insane rake. Ah, got it. Chris Moneymaker and Norman Chad. If you made a no-no, you would have to rewrite your assignment by hand. Do not ask for any type of ghosting while playing and follow reddit's user agreement. I had than written, then deleted it and wrote then. People smoking at the table and nearby constantly. Got to the table right as the tournament was over. But in general there is not that much action at poker. Thank you.{/INSERTKEYS}{/PARAGRAPH} My ninth grade English teacher had a set of "No-no's" that were errors. For every self-promotional item you share blogs, vlogs, streams, etc. Also the first 3 years I lived in Lakewood and coming home on I70 at 3am is just a beautiful site once you hit lookout mountain. In my experience the crowd was terrible to play with. Royal Caribbean cruise, I couldn't make any of the tourney. The tournament rake was just too high, I noped out of that one. Can you explain why you say I was also the one who made the second remark. I havent gone there in a few years since I live in Colorado now but I used to live right down the street and at the time it was a decent spot to play live games with actual dealers. Also the casino on cruise ships smells horrid. In on the Carnival Magic, there was one cash game electronic table with no dealer. If I'm making a dumb math mistake, please advise. Only played cash twice. Not a bad life, cruising around the Caribbean all the time The tourists see it as part of the entertainment cost. {PARAGRAPH}{INSERTKEYS}This makes it much easier to read your post and understand the situation, which will help get you better feedback. Otherwise these threads may be deleted at the moderators' discretion. We're here for poker! Almost paid for the cruise. I rewrote almost every paper that year, but it stuck with me. The rake is irrelevant on a cruise ship. I've played this game a bunch on booze cruises to ensenada and a longer one out of Miami. Reloads and after a few hands after a few hands gets aces again. Yeah no doubt. Good lord. Use the daily discussion thread or the weekly BBV threads for these posts, unless they are truly remarkable and can foster some sort of discussion. William Kassouf. Jesus Christ Terrible players with I'll be taking a princess cruise in August; they're owned by Carnival. Played twice. I live in Denver and I've gone to Black Hawk a few times with friends but they dont play at all and most of those trips I didnt want to seem anti-social going off on my own to play poker, also Denver Poker Tour has really good free to play tournaments every week with cash payouts that I have won quite a few times and would definitely recommend if you're near one of the locations, but mostly I still play online Ignition just because it's requires no prior planning on my part and if I have a few hours to myself and want to play I can just get right to it. Doug Polk. Didn't use to be that way on some of the smaller ships. The players are horrible. Only time I made it to the table was one night out of the 6 or whatever, wife had some cupcake decorating thing or some such. Might as well bring your own chips and ask if people want to have their own game somewhere else on the ship. One night I played for about three hours and literally took every dollar from every single person who sat down, until i was the only one left willing to play, so I went to bed. They also raked if there was no flop. Carnival Cruise Line Poker self. I wasn't playing poker in , but based on what I've heard, that is about where people are at on cruise ship poker. I'd just wait around till it was getting close and see if they wanted to play a cash game or something. When sharing your stream, please remove the thread after the stream has ended. Yea, the rake isn't ideal, but the bad players make up for it. Literally anyone who cares enough about poker to read this sub can beat it. Phil Galfond. Wished I could sit with them for a while, would probably make more than I did as a waiter. Jonathan Little. I've never won less than on the cruise playing this game. This includes any: non-relevant posts to poker, shilling your news site, shilling your YouTube channel, excessive shit-posting, and continuing to post content after you've been specifically warned not to by the mod team. Majority of these guys were there just for fun. I havent played at either Club 52 was the first place I ever played live and I lived right across the street so I never really went anywhere else besides Hard Rock in Ft Lauderdale, but I think someone told me the Daytona Poker room was pretty similar and possibly even had the same owners.
